The 140th Canton Fair opened its doors in Guangzhou on the 15th of October, welcoming visitors from across the country. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Canton Fair; this session covers an exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters, featuring over 32,000 exhibiting enterprises, including more than 11,000 high-quality companies—such as 'specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative' enterprises and 'single-product champions.'

At this Canton Fair, 64% of the exhibiting enterprises have adopted new technologies such as the industrial internet and artificial intelligence; a total of 4.88 million exhibits were displayed, including over 230,000 AI-related products; the proportions of new products and green products reached 23.2% and 26% respectively, both setting new historical records; and over 700 new product launch events are planned to be held.

The first session of this Canton Fair showcases cutting-edge achievements across 19 exhibition zones spanning five major categories—electronic home appliances, industrial automation, lighting and electrical equipment, hardware tools, and new energy vehicles and smart mobility—while featuring 17 dedicated zones for emerging future industries, including service robots, drones, and display technologies, highlighting synergies across the upstream and downstream segments of the advanced manufacturing value chain as well as outcomes of technological innovation and commercialization.
